Giclee (jee-clay) is an advanced printmaking process for creating high quality fine art reproductions. This method of stretching and preparing a canvas allows for a frameless presentation of the finished painting. Although her primary goal will always be to catch that perfect shot straight out of the camera, she also enjoys tinkering around in Photoshop and other image editing programs. Lois' images are based on the photographs she captures, mostly with her Nikon D300. Lois does not have any one particular style and probably never will. The attainable excellence that Giclee printmaking affords makes the reproduction virtually indistinguishable from the original piece. Lois is still experimenting, still loving every minute behind the camera and still believing in magic. Gallery wrap is a method of stretching an artist's canvas so that the canvas wraps around the sides and is secured a hidden, wooden frame. The result is wide acceptance of Giclee by galleries, museums, and private collectors.
