After seven months and a move to southern California she had her first showing in Laguna Beach, which began her successful career as an oil painter. After ten years she began working with oils and devoted herself fulltime to fine art. Financial restraints forced Robin to leave the Art Center and turn her attention toward freelance commissions and commercial art.
