Gallery wrap is a method of stretching an artist's canvas so that the canvas wraps around the sides and is secured a hidden, wooden frame. The result is wide acceptance of Giclee by galleries, museums, and private collectors. This method of stretching and preparing a canvas allows for a frameless presentation of the finished painting. A few years ago I began experimenting with an idea of breaking the composition down to basic elements that would still retain the overall essence of the image. The blocky hard edge shapes and saturated colors add a musical contemporary flare. The attainable excellence that Giclee printmaking affords makes the reproduction virtually indistinguishable from the original piece.   In my collage years, I was an abstract geometric expressionist and then I started working in a realist style, often approaching photo-realism. Giclee (jee-clay) is an advanced printmaking process for creating high quality fine art reproductions. These are the results so far of that new direction.
