Giclee (jee-clay) is an advanced printmaking process for creating high quality fine art reproductions. This method of stretching and preparing a canvas allows for a frameless presentation of the finished painting. When her fourth girl was born, her creativity spread from digital to canvas for the first time, and from there, her journey as a mixed media artist began eventually pushing freelance graphic projects back and replacing them with weekly trips to the art supply store. When her first girl was born, she started doing freelance graphic design work for various types of companies. Her full time adventure as an artist began when she started selling her art in a local co-op, participating in local art shows and adding a few small Florida galleries to the mix. The attainable excellence that Giclee printmaking affords makes the reproduction virtually indistinguishable from the original piece. She has also added a few books to her project list through Walter Foster Publishing/Quarto kids. Gallery wrap is a method of stretching an artist's canvas so that the canvas wraps around the sides and is secured a hidden, wooden frame. The result is wide acceptance of Giclee by galleries, museums, and private collectors.
